I thought it would be interesting to many that Netflix has a deal with the Independant Feature Project to give its members free access to Netflix in order to watch the the films nominated for the Independant Spirit Awards.

My wife is an IFP member. When she signed up, Netflix did not ask for a credit card. She was directed straight to her Queue, where all the approved movies were waiting. In my curiosity, I had her add a movie that was not independant to the queue, just to see what Netflix would do. Apparently nothing since it is being mailed out as we speak.

Obviously, this shouldn’t be allowed to happen. I would think that would be the first thing Netflix would do is lock down their system to keep people from abusing it.
